Review: Kissed From Beyond by Keta Diablo, Amber Scott, Elise Hepner, Stacey Kennedy

One antique shop, four women experienced different exceptional and not to be forgotten moment.

I am not a big fan of novella. I have read many of them and end up with disappointment. Not only because they left me with unfinished things but also because some of them just did not let me get a bond with its characters. I felt they were in such a hurry. So when I received and started read this ebook, I did not put many expectation.

One remarkable thing from this anthology was each story connected with one red line, an antique shop. Each character met Mrs. Higgins and from one thing in her shop, they were brought to something peculiar. I found this unique.

I could not found appropriate words to revealed how the stories surprised me. My ignorance held the responsibility for this. Because the authors have warned me in advance about the genre. Still, It left me open-mouthed. I never expect for those kind of scenes. It is just too hot for me. But at least after reading this ebook, I finally understand what they called as paranormal-erotica.

From all of the stories, CRADLE OF DREAMS is my favorite. The ending was better.

For anyone of you who love romance, erotica, paranormal stories, you should read this book.

Review: Night and Chaos by Naomi Clark

Ryan McCarthy fled Applied Paranormal Theory and Tactics, her father, and her lover six years ago, desperate to build life away from the weird science and supernatural experiments of her childhood. My thought
When I got this eBook and looked at the number of pages, I said to myself, this book was too short to be a book. I wonder what kind of story that the author gave to the reader and ended in 152 pages only. I was just too naive. I never thought that I would find "To Be Continued" till I reached the last few pages. I can't help myself but disappointed. Because I have been hooked since the first chapter.

This book is a quick reading. It kept me wonder what happened next. I liked Ryan and what she had in her thought but not with the way she handled her relationship with Van. I have no idea why she made everything become so complicated. I almost lost my passion on this book because of it. Fortunately the few last chapters brought me back to the line.

I loved the idea about deva and asura. They have told me what those two things but Ijust found small portion. I wanted to know more. All part of this book which connected with APTT was my favorite . I also enjoyed every chapter with Ryan's shape-shifting. But again, the process was not detailed and I just found few of them.

Blood and Bones is the next title. I hope there will be a way to grab and read it. Too many question and I am just too curious with its ending.

Author Guest Post: Storm of Magick by L.A.Burton

Today I have L.A Burton who talked about her book, Storm of Magick.

It’s all about the characters and storyline. When I came up with the Logan Wolf Chronicles then years ago, you wouldn’t have recognized it. The storyline has actually gone through about eight incarnations. Only a few characters have kept their name and the way they look. My vashon, vampire fairie hybrids, started out as regular vampires.

My lycanthrope did start out as werewolves I changed them to werebears and added werefox, weremoles. Again trying something different that I didn’t read about all the time. I also use a lot of magic in my series. I use the original spelling for magick. Then I started combining things, like a lycanthrope with magick powers is called a lycan. I describe most lycan as lycanthrope who gain or have magickal abilities. I also go on to say that, they would more than likely go insane.

A group of beings that make and carry out the laws in my series are called Elders Circle. It’s made up of vashon, vampire, lycanthrope, witch and fairie. I wanted my supernatural beings to have consequences to their actions. When I first started the series, I was compared to Laurell K. Hamilton. I was thrilled to be compared to her, but it also started to become an issue, that is why I started trying to do the opposite of the Anita Blake series.

I gave my vashon floral scent to go a long with the fairy side. Also, the vashon don’t drink blood, they live on magick essence having to feed off of supernatural being. My main character, Logan, has a twin brother, Blaze, who she protects furiously. I also brought in reincarnation to my series. I can’t say a lot because I’m still working on that storyline.

Although I’m still compared to Laurell K. Hamilton and I admire her, a lot I think my series can stand on its own. I hope my readers will grow to love Logan and the others as I have done.
